In June, Citroën do Brasil launches its compact Premium C3 equipped with the new PureTech engine, following the downsizing strategy – which foresees smaller and more efficient engines – started successfully in the C4 Lounge sedan. More economical and less polluting, the new 1.2 liter flexible and three-cylinder engine arrives in the Origine, Attraction and Tendance versions replacing the 1.5 Flex engine. An important evolution to make the model more appropriate to the coming and going of big cities, serving an increasingly rational consumer and attentive to the costs of using your vehicle. The model has a price from R $ 46,490 (with shipping included).Benefited by state-of-the-art technologies – such as the cold starting system with injector heating (eliminates the ‘stub’), dual variable valve control, Split Cooling cooling system, variable oil pump, exhaust manifold integrated into the head, among others -, the new PureTech 1.2 liter Flex engine has the best level of consumption among the engines on the market. Compared to the previous engine, PureTech delivers a fuel consumption reduction of up to 32% in urban traffic, allowing the model up to 16.6 km / l on the road and the ‘AAA’ rating on the Energy ‘of INMETRO.With the new engine, the C3 also gains in agility in urban traffic thanks to its wide availability of torque (127 Nm at 2,750 rpm) and power (90 hp at 5,750 rpm). A model that conquers for the economy in the day to day urban, but that surprises by the dynamic behavior and performance in the highway.”We now equip our C3 with an engine that is internationally recognized for its high technology and energy efficiency. It will make our sales champion even more competitive and attractive to our customers, “says Paulo Solti, CEO of Citroën do Brasil. With more than 327,000 units marketed since its launch, the Citroën C3 PureTech reiterates its premium vocation through its extensive content list, including the advanced Multimedia Center with 7.0-inch touchscreen (with various connectivity technologies such as the Mirror link , Car Play and Link MyCitroën), the innovative Zenith windshield (which allows an increase of 80 ° angle of vision), LED daytime running lights (true stylistic signature of the car), modern electric steering, the mechanical assembly reliable and focused on comfort, among other equipment. In addition to the 3 year contract guarantee, the Citroën C3 PureTech 1.2 liter Flex also has a competitive R $ 1 Per Day Review Plan, with revisions of 10,000, 20,000 and 30,000 km at fixed prices of $ 365.
Citroën C3 Puretech is unveiled by smartphone lenses
People are looking for cars that reflect their lifestyle and the challenge that moves the Citroën brand is precisely to bring this well-being to their cars. So, inspired by the ‘Feel Good’ philosophy of the brand, all the material of disclosure of the new C3 PureTech was realized by the lenses of a smartphone, in photographs and videos, these still undisclosed. After all, nothing like a smartphone to illustrate so well the joviality, intelligence and modernity of a PureTech C3.“The car says something about you. Playing with it, we decided to talk about the C3 through a common element among the different profiles that make up your audience, which are men and women in their 25s and 40s, naturally connected to the digital world for most of their day. Using a smartphone to take photos and videos of the launch translates this spirit, literally, in just ‘a click’ or, more accurately, ‘a post’ “, explains Nuno Coutinho, Marketing Director of Citroën do Brasil.Led by experienced photographer Pedro Bicudo, the team of photographers and video-makers accepted the challenge of making the material with only an iPhone6S, a circular polarizing filter, a wide-angle lens (only for internal images) – both adapted to the lens of the smartphone – and an LED illuminator.”When we use traditional photographic equipment, we have specific lenses and lots of lighting to work with. But we decided to be even more daring and invest in the limitations of the device in our favor, “says Pedro Bicudo. About the effects of the images, the photographer also wanted to maintain the ‘purist’ side of the material, using only the usual digital techniques. “We do not use ‘ready’ filters, so we have more control over the final result,” says Bicudo.Technically, this translates into the choice of the PURE application, which provides manual sensitivity controls (ISO) and speed (exposure time) for the smartphone camera and the PRO HDR for double exposure. In the case of photo editions, we used ACDSEE (visualization, choice and editing), Adobe LIGHTROOM (general and partial color, saturation and density controls, vignetting, noise control, etc.) and Adobe PHOTOSHOP ).As part of the action, three images are ‘on display’ in the brand’s Instagram (@citroenbrasil). Citroën is a forerunner in the digital world with 11 million fans on all social platforms in the world, but only through Citroën do Brasil are 4.1 million followers on Facebook, 85,700 on Instagram and 65,000 on LinkedIn at porsche panamera car cover .
2017 – CITROËN C4 CACTUS ‘ONE TONE’
With an aesthetic and design that can differentiate it from its more direct competitors, the Citroën C4 Cactus has added both critics and defenders. From the moment of its launch, the car is available in a variety of colors that match the body color with the counter tone frames. However, the color tone is not the taste of all customers and to try to satisfy the requirements of those customers who demand a more traditional configuration, Citroën has just presented the C4 Cactus One Tone, which stands out for its body and Airbumps painted in a tone without contrasts.Customers will be able to choose from three different alternatives: white, black or gray: Pearlescent Perle White combined with Dune Airbumps, Metallic Obsidien Black with protections in black and Pearlescent Shark Gray which includes Gray painted Airbumps. The Citroën C4 Cactus One Tone is making its debut in France with a choice of engines that includes two alternatives: BlueHDI 1.6-liter diesel with 100 hp and Puretech 1.2-liter with 110 hp as an alternative to gasoline. 2017 – CITROËN C4 CACTUS RIP CURL SPECIAL EDITION
Citroën will present at the Geneva Motor Show a special edition of the C4 Cactus called Rip Curl Special Edition, introducing the Grip Control system to improve traction capacities on limited adhesion floors. Thus, the version intends to associate two brands that have gained notoriety for the credentials of ‘adventure’, and in the case of Rip Curl its reputation comes from the world of surf and beaches. However, the great novelty of the model is its improved traction capacity thanks to the introduction of Grip Control technology, which is already present in other models of the PSA group like Peugeot 2008. Associated with the most powerful engines and PureTech 110 manual transmission and BlueHDi 100, the Grip Control functions as a smart traction control for Off-Road use.It uses an anti-skid system integrated in the ESP electronic unit that divides the traction between the two wheels of the front axle, counting on different modes of operation, between Standard, Sand, Off-Road, Snow and ESP Off. In addition, there will also be winter Mud & Snow tires for more complicated surfaces (Goodyear 205/50 R17 89V – Vector 4Seasons).Aesthetically, it also has some differences, such as the blank mirror covers, the ceiling bars also blank and a vertical blank strip on the sides with the Rip Curl logo. At the front, highlight the protection of the body in colored aluminum, with Citroën also planning the introduction of a new body color to emphasize the character of this version. The interior will also have specific elements in orange, black and gray color, filling the interior with contrasting elements.

2017 – CITROËN C6
Finally the rumors that circulated since the last month of December in relation to the return of the Citroën C6 are confirmed. The PSA Group decided to revive in the Chinese market the Citroën C6 as its new executive sedan. The car is based on a model that was recently introduced in China, the Dongfeng Aeolus A9, with which it shares many elements such as the EMP2 modular platform. The new Citroën C6 looks for a more premium positioning in the market. It is expected that DS will also present a model based on this Citroën C6.The new Citroën C6 measures 5,060 mm in length and has a generous wheelbase of 2,900 mm. Its design has nothing to do with the novelty that was the first C6 in its time. Instead, it adopts very classic lines, to Chinese taste, where the front grille together with the optical groups adds a touch of the whole.Inside, Citroën sought a premium atmosphere for its new Citroën C6. The design is not the strong point, presenting an elaborate leather upholstery with different patterns. A tactile screen appears on the panel and there are few buttons on the center console, while driving information is displayed on a completely new, fully digital clock frame. There are elements of comfort such as the three-zone climate control and the rear seats with electric adjustment. The generous space for rear seat occupants is evident. The only engine available for the Citroën C6 will be a 1.8-liter four-cylinder gasoline, which thanks to supercharging develops 204 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque. The only transmission available is a six-speed automatic that moves the front wheels.
